MailTags est un donationware qui consiste en un plug-in pour Mail 2.0 (Mac OS 10.4 donc) afin de vous permettre de mieux organiser vos mails.

Je l'utilise depuis un certain temps et c'est un produit que je trouve très utile pour celui qui aime s'organiser

La version 2.0b4 apporte les fonctionnalités suivantes [En] :

AppleScript
• Fixed implementation issues in Applescript support where Applescripts would not compile after some time.
• Added sample AppleScript for creating a Yojimbo item that links back to the message -- copies tags and url for the message.
iCal ToDos and Events
• Implemented basic functionality to create events from Mail. Currently you can create multiple events from one email. You cannot, however, create alarms for these events yet -- You have to visit event in Ical to do so.
• Reworked To Dos. There should be no functional changes but if problems are experienced please let me know. Eventually To Dos will be similar to Events in that you will be able to create multiple todos and editing will be through a popup bezel window.
Interface
• Added a "Copy Message Url" item in edit menu and message list context menu. Selecting this item will put a message://. url on the clip board for use with other apps such as Yojimbo.
• Fixed issue in preference panel where the alarm time could not be set.
IMAP connectivity
• Resolved issues where connections to IMAP server were not being properly released -- leading to a situation where a) your IMAP server would not like you or b) mail would indicate there was too many open files. Consequently connectivity with IMAP servers may be faster.
JSON support
• Saving MailTags as clear text will now save all MailTags data in JSON format in X-MailTags header. JSON is a lightweight alternative to XML that is easily parsed by other software such as procmail.
.Mac sync
• Rules that make use of mailTags related criteria and actions should now sync via .mac
Preferences
• Addressed yet another issue where MailTags preferences may become corrupted. (It is still recommended to back up preference file at ~/Library/Preferences/ca.indev.MailTags.plist)
Registration
• Public Beta expiry extended to January 17, 2007
Stability
• Fixed issues updating mailbox listing after tag updates.
KNOWN ISSUES
• Some testers have reported issues with temporary duplicates resulting from application of JunkMail rules Duplicates will disappear after refresh of mailbox listing (click other mailbox then return to original).
